Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Can my child bring their phone or iPad to camp?  

A.  No, please do not let them bring any electronic devices to camp.

Q.  Is there air conditioning in the cabins?  

A.  Yes, all cabins and meeting rooms are air conditioned.

Q. Can my child be in the same cabin with their friend?  

A.  We recommend that staff assign the campers to cabins randomly and for parents to encourage their children to meet and get to know new friends.

Q. Do the campers need money for snacks?  

A. Campers are given snacks, but we do have a canteen if they want to purchase another snack of their choice.

Q. Do you have a lifeguard?  

A. Yes, we will always have a certified lifeguard on duty at the pool.

Q. Can I communicate with my child?  

A. If parents or families would like to send the campers notes of encouragement, you may email your child at campbunknotes@gmail.com.

Q. What should my child bring to camp?

Clothing:

Comfortable clothing (shorts, t-shirts, socks, tennis shoes)
Close-toed, water shoes (for canoeing or kayaking in the Manatee River)
Rain poncho
Hat (optional)

Bedding:

Sleeping bag and pillow case or
Twin-sized fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillow case and blanket (or quilt)
(One pillow and blanket are provided by DaySpring, but most campers bring their own)

Toiletries:

Shampoo
Soap or body wash
Deodorant
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Towel(s) for bathroom
Towel(s) for pool

And…Sunblock and Bug Repellent!
