DaySpring Family Experiences Tragedy, Temporarily Ceases Reservations
Uncategorized - January 7, 2026

Dear DaySpring Community,

It is with heavy hearts that I write to share the news of the death of Johnathan Boley. This loss has deeply affected our community, our staff, and many who hold DaySpring close. We grieve alongside the Boley family and especially hold Angel Boley and her boys in our prayers, trusting that God is present even in the midst of sorrow. Angel is DaySpring’s talented Guest Services Director and is a senior leader on DaySpring’s leadership team. If you want to support the Boley family you can give at www.dayspringfla.org/giving.

In light of this tragedy, we are taking time as a staff to care for one another and to tend faithfully to the responsibilities immediately before us. For this reason, DaySpring is pausing responses to future reservation inquiries past February 1 for the time being. This is only temporary as this pause will allow our team the space needed to navigate this season of grief while remaining fully present to the groups already scheduled to be with us in January. Unfortunately, the news attention rightfully given to this tragedy has reminded many of our groups to rebook. We simply can’t keep up, and we will resume advanced reservations as soon as possible.

We are grateful for your understanding, patience, and continued prayers. DaySpring has always been a place where community shows up for one another, and we feel that support now more than ever. We will communicate again when we are ready to resume new reservation conversations.

Thank you for holding our staff and the Boley family in your hearts.

With gratitude and hope,

Brad Thompson
