DaySpring News, Leadership, Nature & History, Visitors & Guests, Youth Programs - May 19, 2025

As summer approaches, anticipation builds for the 2025 season at Camp DaySpring, nestled along the serene Manatee River in Parrish, Florida. Operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida, this 97-acre retreat offers a unique blend of spiritual enrichment, outdoor adventure, and community building for young people.

A Place for Youthful Exploration and Growth

Camp DaySpring is designed to be more than just a summer getaway; it’s a nurturing environment where children and teens can explore their faith, develop leadership skills, and forge lasting friendships. The camp’s Youth Sector features comfortable cabins, a newly constructed pool, and expansive outdoor spaces perfect for games and gatherings.

Campers engage in a variety of activities that challenge them physically and spiritually. From high and low ropes courses that promote teamwork and confidence to canoeing and kayaking on the Manatee River, each experience is crafted to encourage personal growth.

Diverse Programs for Every Age Group

The 2025 camp schedule offers tailored sessions for different age groups:

Discovery Camps: Fostering Creativity and Leadership

New to this year’s lineup are the Discovery Camps, which provide middle and high schoolers with the chance to delve deeper into specific interests such as guitar, fishing, videography, and photography. These sessions aim to cultivate creative expression and leadership skills in a supportive, faith-based environment.

A Community Guided by Faith

At the heart of Camp DaySpring is a commitment to spiritual development. Daily worship services, led by Episcopal priests and youth ministers, offer campers moments of reflection and connection. Music, prayer, and communal meals foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
