Hospitality of the Heart is a way of life. This journey is about how the culture of welcome, belonging, and transformation changes lives of both people and congregations. We will explore the Christian Celtic understanding of welcome, rooting our hospitality in the Gospel message. Come begin your journey of welcome with us.

Our conference is led by The Rev. Dr. John Palarine and includes both plenary and small group work. Featuring the music of Fran McKendree and River Guerguerian.

Conference fees include follow-up workshop for leaders in participant parishes in January 2018. This follow-up will help participants take the lessons of personal hospitality into practical application within their parishes.

• • In 2004, John came home from a sabbatical to England, Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand with a new term that has changed his life, Hospitality of the Heart. As far as he knows, this term is original to him. He and his wife, Joanne, went to study thriving congregations in those cultures. Instead what they discovered was Celtic spirituality and the deep and ancient traditions of Christian hospitality in its most loving and sincere form. What they experienced was loving Christians who welcomed them in, opened their hearts and shared their love of Christ in extraordinary ways. John and Joanne couldn’t wait to share this with their congregations. They believe this is more than a program, a theory or a writing, but rather a way of life that changes lives and congregations.
